Hello Walter,
There’s a new setting that is taking effect throughout the site. You can find it in your account settings called “Hide Newbie Posts”. This setting is checked for everyone by default. This also effects what threads you are notified of as a leader.

Are you still having this issue? Generally this happens when you haven’t poted or your account is not active. It appears to be working for me.
