Then I would looking into something like FFMPEG. FFMPEG with the right command can copy the video stream, and convert the audio to uncompressed PCM, then wrap that into MXF or AVI.
Optionally you could convert your material to DV for SD, or XDCAM.MXF or Cineform.avi for HD. The audio import issue is the same, only converting to any of those formats will automatically change the audio to PCM.

I believe the “background” graphic is foreground and at 50% allowing the text to show through.

May offer a time index so we do not have to watch the entire clip.
From the parts I saw try a luminance crossfade (Additive Dissolve effect), or key frame image color correction for a few frames at the moment you want to highlight.

Back around Vegas 11, Sony actually specified the 5700 series as recommended for OpenCL timeline support. The best 5700 series card is the 5770 which has about 1300 GFLOPs single precision. The NV260 is at around 450 GFLOPs, and the NV650 is about 800, while AMD R9-390X is around 6000 GFLOPs. If you want GPU support in Vegas, you need card that excels in OpenCL calculation and not CUDA.
The GPU does not accelerate MP4 encoding directly in some sort of offload. The GPU is added to compute units that exist virtually on the CPU, and increases your systems ability to perform certain types of complex math. Math that would take longer to complete in CPU only mode. The complexity of your timeline composites, effect types, and a certain amount of motion calculations in MP4 encoding are all sped up by OpenCL on the CPU+GPU hybrid.
Catalyst may change this lack of Cuda support, but even then you will need top NV card.

The link says is has 5MP sensor and full 1080 recording. Setup the camera to record in AVCHD – 1920 x 1080 – 60i fps – 24Mbps +XVColor enabled. If your TV standard is 50i, then use 50i. Then in Vegas project settings, use the match media button on some of the footage. Switch to 32-bit FP Video Levels. Then render Best Full to a progressive format like XDCAM-EX.mxf 1080-30P or 25P(you may need to create and save this profile.) Run tests on both Interpolating and Blend deinterlace. Make sure to create a new project when you go to playback the rendered material on the timeline. Otherwise you will be trying to reconvert the material back to the interlaced.
Create a new Vegas project, switch back to 8bit mode, and match media to the xdcam.mxf, dragging and dropping a clip to a new timeline will auto match. Edit the XDCAM material as you like.
If you are using DVD for storage only, then rendering out to Sony AVC – 720P@4Mbs should be good enough quality for an hour. If you use MC mp4, create a profile that sets the variables at 4Mbs Average and 10mbs peak. Use CPU only mode with MC encoder.

Not much info your laptop model or OS.
Does your laptop have firewire, and have you tried interfacing either USB or Firewire?
Is the internal sound device still active on the laptop? I would try uninstalling the audio device for the onboard, then disable the audio device in BIOS. That way Windows has only one option for sound device.
Can you disable ASIO in the Behringer settings for a test?
Make sure you are plugged into a USB2.0 port on the laptop. If only USB3.0 ports are the only option, check bios for compatibility settings.
You may need to contact Sony or Behringer and have them determine if their ASIO is compatible. ASIO is standard but Vegas might not be as up to date.

Shoot the G10 at the max bitrate, and progressive, in the setup on the camera.
Use the Match Media button in the Vegas project settings, or match the project settings to the media being shot. “Media Info” utility can help to determine this info.
Rendering to YouTube can go a couple ways.

- Google states that 1080P is limited to 8MBs. So if you shoot your camera at AVCHD 18MBs+, and then render to Sony AVC 16MBs+, you should get a nice image by letting Google toss the additional information.
- You can also render to something like XDCAM-EX.MFX and upload the resulting file. YouTube will accept both. XDCAM is a fixed format and so does not need bit rate selection. XDCAM is also a professional format and supports more audio channels and embedded Closed Captioning.

The problem is you have only support for “OpenCL 1.0 CUDA” and I think you need at least OpenCL 1.1. On my 5770 which is pretty much minimum for Vegas OpenCL, it supports OpenCL2.0, and the CPU is OpenCL 1.2. Point versions with OpenCL are a big changes, and they do not happen that often.
I would recommend an HD5770, HD6970, R9-270X, HD7970-ghz, R9-290x or 390X to enable the timeline support for Vegas. Right now you are only getting Cuda render assist with the encoder, but missing GPU assist for things like FPS acceleration, blur, crossfades, and 32-bit FP mode assist on the timeline. Select the device that matches the vintage of your specific system. The card list is order of compute power and not release date.

What is the model of your PC? If you are not sure, you can also use a utility like Speccy, go to File/Save Snapshot and post the .speccy file via dropbox or gdrive. This will help us help you on what and where to install the card. It should only take like 5 mins with a screw driver and the PC unplugged to install the new card. Basically just use a slot that matches the size of the plug on the card, and not one of the big long interfaces. Generally the GPU interfaces are colored, and the 1x accessory slots are white.
