Thanks so much for responding. I’ve done what you suggested but when you drag it over nothing happens.

When you edit the clip in the timeline and ctrl drag the clip to the project panel it won’t allow you to drop it there. If you unlink and just select the video track it allows you to make a subclip with just video.

You can make subclips from the source file in the source monitor with audio but that doesn’t help when I need to sync audio from another source.

I can nest files but my fear is that the OMF exported will have only one track of audio for a clip that has at least three.

I’m working with MXF files. Would that have any impact on what I am trying to do? Thanks for your help.
