I found a workaround. Close App Store application then put the FCP 10 application in the trash (do not empty trash). Launch App Store and download 10.0.1 (if your apple ID is the same one used to purchase 10 the new version will be free).

I’m having the same exact problem with the app store. Installed X on a laptop and a desktop but neither machine will let me update.

Same problem here. Appears to be related to FCP 7. Anyone find a good solution?

    thanks, will try it

  • Beware of the 1-frame video delay. Here is an email response from AJA:

Setting the video playback to 1080i29.97 and the Kona secondary format to
525i29.97 is a valid way of downconverting.

One word of caution: there is a 1-frame delay for video only with
downconversion; therefore delay the audio on the FCP sequence by 1-frame.
Some editors are still okay with a 1-frame delay but I thought I should
    mention it.

    Best regards

OK, this is getting interesting. Can the K2 OR K3 output dual-link from a 1080 10-bit Uncompressed timeline? I thought source tapes had to be recorded dual-link 4:4:4 in order to be captured using AJA’s dual-link RGB codec. And isn’t this codec only 2K? Wouldn’t a software conversions be required to output 4:4:4?

I didn’t think the F900 recorded dual-link 4:4:4, only the F950 does that. Assuming I’m right about that, why would you want an SR deck If you are working with tapes recorded wtih 3:1:1 color sampling?

    Thanks, AG

Bob, thanks for responding. Someone on the HD High-End forum suggested that the JH sereies “… were really designed just for viewing HDCam tapes” so we should go with the F500.

What about the embedded audio. I don’t see a 1080 23.98 easy-setup with embedded audio. Does the K2 automatically capture that or should I duplicate and edit the capture preset?

    Thanks, AG
