Are you talking local commercials? In my region, only a very small number of stations accept HD material. Hopefully in your region stations are more with the times. It’s sad when people shoot in HD and have no way to deliver in HD. Meanwhile other people have their SD spots upconverted to HD and they look like crap.

I see what you’re saying, but in this case I’m more concerned with avoiding getting into legal hot water than I am in making overtime, or keeping my job for that matter. And in this case, I can’t be fired for refusing to lie. If I get denied future work over Cow posts, it certainly isn’t going to be over this one. The subject matter of some of my past posts could definately get me fired/prevent me from getting work, I’ll agree with you there. If an HR person won’t hire me for refusing to lie in a previous job, then that means that their company has also asked employees to lie in the past. But, like I said, I see where your coming from, and respect your opinion. I just know that the people on the Cow have probably dealt with situations similar to what I’m dealing with in this case, and their opinions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply, but I think you may have misunderstood my question. I just wanted to know if anyone has used an LCD TV with a color matte on the screen (being played on a source) as the chromakey background instead of lighting a chromakey BG the “traditional” way.

Thanks for your reply. I actually just built this machine within the last 6 months. It’s running XP Pro on a 32-bit OS.

Intel Etreme Series Mobo – DX48BT2
Intel Quad Core 3.00GHz
4GB of RAM (actually 3.24 on the 32-bit OS)
Primary Drive 1TB Segate Barracuda 7200 RPM
I edit on a 3TB RAID-0 Segate Barracuda 7200 RPM
Nvidia Quadro FX1700 Video Card

This project is quite large in size. It’s difficult to separate it into multiple separate projects because a lot of the elements from sequence to sequence are shared and/or copied and pasted. Importing sequences into new projects won’t work with how the project is set up.

Obviously I have to “cowboy up”. I don’t have any other choice in the matter other than to quit, and that is obviously not an option. Is there anyone else out there who has experience working on long boring projects, that can offer practical advice?

Yeah, I have never found anyone that has anything to say about the problems we’re experiencing. I work full-time and run my own business on the side. I am a video editor in both capacities. The computer at work I built identical to my computer at home. The only difference is that at home I run Production Suite CS3, and at work I run CS4. Overall, Premiere CS3 is WAY less buggy than Premiere CS4. I can count on one hand the amount of times CS3 has crashed on me. I have lost count the amount of times CS4 crashes on me. The Media Encoder portion of CS4 is especially buggy. Adobe rushed CS4 into release and failed to work out some MAJOR bugs.
