Did you format the drive to which you’re copying the files as NTFS or FAT32? It should be NTFS. FAT32 has a file size limit of 4GB.

I see where you’re coming from, but isn’t running a football-themed ad (regardless of the spot’s copy) during a Patriots game capitalizing on the Patriots anyway? After all, running a football-themed ad during a soap opera wouldn’t nearly be as effective.

I have nothing to do with the writing of and development of our spots. I am, however, more concious of the law than my bosses are. If we get sued, I could lose my job, so it’s in my best interest to ask these questions. And yes, I am looking for a loophole, because no we can’t afford to pay the Patriots, and the car dealership is not an “official” sponsor. And if I had to “read between the lines” on your “thoughts” on the subject, I would guess that you would never try to imply affiliation with an organization without an agreement in place, and that you would never try to take advantage of a loophole.
I’ve thought more about my original post in the last couple hours, and having her say “Go New England” instead of “Go Pats” would spare us any potential legal ramifications (sp?). After all, the Patriots can’t stop us from using their colors, they can only top us from mentioning their name, or using their logo.

Thank you David and everyone else for your quick responses.
To answer your questions.
I have not asked the coach anything yet. I was going to bounce this off of professionals (i.e. you guys) before I brought it up to anyone else. The same goes for the principal and the superintendent.
The players jerseys are generic green and white with no names on the jerseys. The helmet has the logo of an Indian that has been used by the school for years. Nowhere on the jersey or the helmet does it identify the school directly.
The players all wear numbers, but like I said, they do not wear names. I shoot the game with no sound, so there’s no way to link the players numbers with specific names unless you take the time to look up the roster (that’s even if you recognize the team by the logo).
The players faces are absolutely hidden by their helmets and facemasks. There is no way to tell who they are by facial recognition.
Another grey area in this whole equation is the opposing team(s) in these shots.

I think you’re unfairly comparing my most recent post to past posts. I don’t think my initial post was whiny at all. It was very matter-of-fact and to-the-point. And the fact that I named the company withholding payment is my own problem. Everyone on the cow thought it was a stupid thing to do, and they’re probably right. But what do people on the cow care if I lose my job because of it? In fact, they should be happy to know about a company that fails to pay their invoices, that way, should they ever be in a position to potentially do business with that company, they’ll be prepared for a very late payment.

Yeah, I did a bunch of room sprays and shot each guest table in the room before the food was served. She must have been up and doing something when I got to her table. I will do the pan and scans.

Fair enough. Perhaps, out of respect for the true purpose of this forum, the forum moderators could stricken the name of the client from the record. But believe me, I still think that more people need to speak up about corporate greed and poor business practices. Maybe if more people did that in the past, we wouldn’t be in the financial situation we’re in now.

It’s amazing how big business has brainwashed this country.
Let’s all bow down to the almighty infallable corporations and allow them to take advantage of the little guy. Anyone who dare speak up against shoddy business practices, as to prevent others from being taken-advantage-of, shall be forever banished from the business world.
