Almost forgot about this… I did get it working. It just took a couple patient reinstalls and uninstalls and reboots to get it working.
Though now, DVD Architect won’t burn a disc that resumes (I have a Sony 5-disc DVD changer that has multi-disc resume). The Resume button in Media Properties is grayed out and I can’t find any option anywhere else that would even maybe be related to that.
Other than that, I got my project done about as perfectly as can be expected for a first-timer. Took quite a while to render in Vegas (1hr 50min video took 22hrs to render in 720p with the audio rendered as 224kbps AC3 Stereo, three audio tracks rendered separately), then about three hours of transcoding in DVD Architect.
If the band approves it, I might upload it to YouTube and I’ll post back with a link to it so you can see what took 6 months of clicking and dragging and previewing and tinkering.
Vegas took quite a bit of learning and reading help files compared to what I was used to (Cyberlink’s PowerDirector), but the end result is much more refined and the interface is much more flexible.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Also… does anyone know of a good video stabilizer akin to proDad’s Mercalli?
I’m trying to use Mercalli in Pinnacle Studio 14 and it works, but it’s a little tricky to use and I can’t import the result without a lengthy render, then opening the file into Vegas and working with it there.
