Designed to streamline the sound design process, Video to Sound allows users to set in and out points, select the sound elements they want included, and quickly create a synchronized first sound pass directly within Adobe Premiere Pro. Using professionally recorded sound effects and ambience recordings, the plugin helps editors transform silent footage into a polished soundtrack in just a few clicks.
Unlike AI-generated audio solutions, Video to Sound uses professionally recorded sound effects created by Krotos’ team of sound designers. Machine learning is used to analyze footage and identify relevant sounds, while all audio placed on the timeline is drawn from Krotos’ extensive royalty-free sound library. This approach allows editors to build immersive soundscapes in seconds while maintaining the realism, nuance, and quality of real-world recordings.
“Video editors are under constant pressure to deliver more content in less time,” said Orfeas Boteas, CEO of Krotos. “With Video to Sound for Premiere Pro, editors can bring sound into the creative process much earlier without ever leaving their edit. By combining intelligent analysis with real recordings from our sound library, we’re helping editors build a stronger first sound pass, explore creative ideas sooner, and spend less time searching for sounds.”

The plugin launches with support for Ambiences, Whooshes, Transitions, Risers, Impacts, and Cloth effects. Once sounds are placed on the timeline, users can quickly swap them for alternatives while maintaining sync to picture, allowing further refinement without rebuilding the entire sound design pass.
