Zoom out of a 3D field
Hi everyone,
I’m sorry if I’m repeating a question, but I can’t find it anywhere online. I would like to zoom out of the 3d field in my preview window. Yes, I’m having a hard time explaining, very sorry for that.
In a tutorial I’m watching a guy has this scroll thing:
What he does is very simply zoom in and out on layers in 3d with this thing, but I can’t find this scroll anywhere.
How do you adjust zoom in preview? Or do you actually need to resize all layers every time you want to see a detail in 3d (such as aligning objects)?

Hit “c” on your keyboard until you see that icon. It is the Track Z Camera tool that will move your camera in z space. Of course, you have to have a camera in your composition for it to work.

However, the guy in the tutorial did not make one, so I am wondering if there’s another trick somewhere. 🙂

Select “Custom view” instead of “Active Camera” below the viewport.

Once you’ve switched the view, use the camera zoom tool. You can zoom out as far as you want.
