    So heres my question:

I bought the regular video mic for my Canon T3i, but the sound was not good, due to the weak camera preamps. Upon some research I decided to buy the Zoom H1 audio recorder, allowing me to do seperate audio. Now the real question…

Should I return the Videomic or is there a good use for it?

I now I can have that record into the Zoom and then into the camera?

Just want some advice, otherwise I would return the videomic

    Thanks!!!!

I have assumed you had mounted the mic on top of the camera? ……… A mic on a camera top would have be one of the worst positions for a microphone…
It’s to far away to be used for a person speaking, and when used for general fx sounds unfortunately picks up all the camera handling noise.
