So I was testing out my zoom h1 with my t2i. Used a shotgun for reference for t2i and a wireless lav for the zoom h1. Camera/shotgun mic only a 3-4 feet from subject.

Got a trial of plural eyes, sync it, and everything is sync correctly until you get to around 2 minutes into the interview, after that it gets worse and worse. I try to sync with my clapper and does the same.

I must have some recording setting wrong. Here is what I did:

    T2i: 1080p 24
    zoom h1: wav 48/16 khz/bit

Any suggestions how i should be recording and is there any way i can salvage the interview (with out syncing my audio every minute) just in case it happens again?

    Thanks!

Did you convert the H264 camera codec to ProRes for editing in FCP? What are your sequence settings? Especially framerate?

    [Levi Thornton] “24p”

Is it really 24p or is it 23.98 (23.976) you need to be exact, if you will not post all the settings you may not get help.

How did you convert the files to ProRes, more details please.

Very important if your footage is 23.976

    You need to start over.

Delete all of the audio out of your project.

Hit control-q and choose a 23.98 easy setup.

    Save and quit Fcp.

Reopen the project and Reimport your audio.

Is it in sync now? Should be.

look at this very old, (two days), thread:

    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1117798#1117798

And remember the zoom is writing BWF files.

Turns out log and transfer of Canon footage can be a bag of hurt as well. Bouke, you should have look-see and make sure I represented your products correctly.

    Hi Levi,

Did you resolve the issue that you were having? You mentioned that you would report back later. You’ve got my attention… I have the same issue, except I’m using the Zoom H4n.

Any help would be much appreciated.
