As i said I used all three. but to be fair I used the VZ and BB.
ones with the hvx 200 and not with the EX1.and I used the Libec only with the EX1.
I would love to hear if the VZ and BB connect to the front of the lens like the Libec instead of the lan like on the HVX 200.
Micheal how does your new one connect and do you like it?

I’m still waiting for it, and it will connect to the port on the lens. VZ only produced 100 of these and I didn’t pre-order. I will get it from the next run.

    Good Luck

    Steve and all,

After following links here to other forums I tracked down this Libec zoom controller. It’s their standard Fuji/Canon Pro controller with an adapter at the end. The picture doesn’t show the adapter:

    https://www.expandore.biz/product_detail.asp?productid=1793&codeid=Libec%20ZC&catid=&brandid=all&formatid=all&start=1

As I researched, even though at $250 this is the least expensive of the bunch, a couple of folks who’e tried it comparatively to VZ and another brand thought it worked the best. I’m not sure if they tried it with EX, but it seems like very much worth a try. Plus it’ll work with just about any other pro lens you have. BTW, I found it another place and they wanted $400 for it.

I have a Libec handle for my pro canon lenses that is a real workhorse. I bought it for $235 from a dealer in St. Louis through e-bay about 5 years ago. It works as well as the Canon I paid $1200 for, and, for $35 more, he gave me the correct part to screw it on to my Sachtler 20 head. All good on that. I’ll have to see if I can dig his contact info up somewhere.

It does work well with the EX1. and it does need that adapter.
but what a nice smooth feel to it.I only wish the toggle
    was a little wider.
ABEL Cine and band pro can get them but there are not shipping until some time in Feb.
    phill.
