I came across this tutorial today and thought some folks here might be interested in his recommendations.
BTW, the guy is using Vegas 5 for all his work so that makes it even better 🙂

    Thanks Mike

    That was very informative.

I’ll have to try tht method and see how it compares to the DivX I created and uploaded.

He said to select 1 mbps but in version 7, I only have the option of 3 mbps or higher or like 512 kps or lower. What did you pick?

Nevermind. I picked 3 mbps then changed it as my last step to a 1.

After following all the recommended settings, save them as a 1Mb preset, and it will then appear in the list of templates.

The video does look very good, but file size is fairly big, because of the 1 Mb setting. For general viewing and streaming I more often use 256kbps.

I saw this a couple days ago so I gave it a try with a slideshow I did. It work pretty good with the slideshow. I also tried it with a quick moving promo with alot of text and it turned out pretty crappy. I deleted the promo a used soapbox instead but here is a link to the slideshow if you’d like to see the video quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iUroEZ8Jbw
