Youtube audio and video out of sync?
I don’t usually use YouTube as a distribution medium. But a client had me upload a 2.5 hour interview to his YouTube Channel and the audio and video is out of sync (starting in sync, but gradually growing out of sync over time). The source video is in sync. I feel like I have gone back to the late 90s. ☺
Anyone seen this on YouTube before? I can see they had an issue with sync back in 2018, but no mention of this more recently.

Do you see it on youtube at your end, or is this only something the client is experiencing? If the latter, I’d put it down to a bad connection or problems in the client’s computer like not enough RAM.
The classic reason for audio drift is a mis-match between the video codec’s audio sample rate, and the sample rate of the actual audio you out into the thing. So I would experiment with re-rendering and uploading an unlisted version that used a different codec as source.

Yes, bit all source, timeline settings, master, and compressed are 48KHz. I’ll try re-rendering to an .MP4 instead of a .mov; not that I expect that to make any difference.
…and perhaps suggest using Vimeo instead.

We solved the problem by moving to Vimeo.
