Your best guess: What lighting setup was used in this clip?

Long time reader, but I think this could be my first post! eek.I will be making a short video for a dentist and wanted it to look like THIS:

Lighting is not my strongest area, so my question is this: What kind of setup do you think was used in that clip?
The office I will be shooting in has compact fluorescents with magnetic ballasts so I was planning on turning the room lights off and lighting everything myself.
What should I rent to get the look above? A softbox? (or two)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

She’s beautifully lit, but that framing is for the birds with the negative “look space” thru-out. That gimmick is best used for no longer than the time you need to pop up a lower third or logo art.
My guess is a softbox key and bounce card fill.

Hard to say exactly… but obviously very soft instruments. Could be softbox, Kinos, white 4×4 bounce card… a variety of things.
Just make sure whichever type of instrument you use has a large front surface area for that very soft “wraparound” look.
She’s fairly nicely lit, although her key was a fair bit too high for my personal taste. I also think the scene could have really benefitted for at least a little bit of a back/hair light.
And Mark’s right, while the lighting is ok, the framing is terrible. I know you weren’t asking about that…. but don’t do that. Ugh.
And for what it’s worth, you can have a subject speak TO camera or speak OFF camera (as she did)… either is perfectly acceptable, depending on the look/feel/mood you are going for. But the fact that she introduced herself by name is, at least to me, very weird for someone speaking to off camera. I’d only do that for someone speaking to camera.
Not that anyone even remotely asked my opinion on that, of course.

In overall High Key Daylight ambiance, One small Daylight Soft Box will do it… They could at least feather off from the bottom as not to burn whites and separate the face
