June 24, 2011 at 5:01 pmChange the transitions preference in Preferences. The default is iMovie style rippling transitions. Choose the alternate and you’ll have FCP 7-style non-rippling transitions.

June 24, 2011 at 7:19 pmI can’t believe that you can only add transitions to clips that on on the Storyline track. why in the world can’t i add a transition to 2 clips on a uper layer. theres a lot of little things that seem so silly.

“You *can* still add transitions to clips on the upper layers, but you have to convert them to storylines first (CMD+G). It’s still silly, but it can be done.
