Yet another Vegas Preview issue.
Hi all,
I’m completely new to Sony Vegas, and I have come to find that my preview window doesn’t work the way I want it to. I have looked up for several solutions on the internet, in which they all suggested to disable a so called Trimmer Function, or a Video Monitor Button, but none of them seems to work for me.
Here’s the deal.
I have 3 video tracks for my intro, 2 hold text media, 1 holds video.
The intro displays perfectly well, but all the video I add in after that, doesn’t show itself in the preview window, but I DO hear the audio..I’m on Sony Vegas Pro 9.0

Need to know more. Be specific – yes?
Firstly what is the “Intro”? Explain?
Secondly, If you CAN see the first pieces of video and not the following, then this ain’t Trimmer Preview. Or is the Intro made up of generated text?
Thirdly, what format of video have got on the timeline? The one you CAN Preview and the one that ISN’T showing?

Hi, thanks for your replay.
My intro consists of 3 video tracks : One holding some footage, which is the background in the text, one text layer put on Sony Height Map, and one copy of that layer. (You might recognise this as crystal text)
I do not know what you mean by Generated text, im sorry.
The format i’m using is .avi.
But there’s a copy of each fragment saying .avi.sfk at the end..Might it be that?

If you create a timeline WITHOUT the intro, does all the footage show up? That way we at least know for sure that the avi’s can be properly used in Vegas. If they can, is there anything happening at the end of the intro piece that could affect everything else in the timeline. For instance a “Fade to Color” envelope that goes to black and doesn’t come back up? I’m just grabbing at straws here.

The *.sfk file is NOT a copy of the *.avi file, but the file that contains the GRAPHIC of the waveform OF the Audio that relates to that Video file. These get “built” when you place a AVI on the timeline.
Now, will you please supply a screen-grab of your timeline clearly showing the tracks, the content, the cursor AND the Preview window.
