I shot a bunch of greenscreen footage and when I use the Primatte RT filter the yellow disappears as well. There’s a yellow emblem on his belt, forearm pads and shin pads.

What is the best way to fix this? Can I isolate one very narrow shade of yellow that this emblem is, change that color to something that won’t get keyed out, then use primatte rt filter?

What’s the best way to do this? 8 point garbage matte in a duplicate layer in a track above? Motion? FCP? I also have After effects but less experience in that. could use AE if easier

    Thanks

Ya, there is green in the color yellow.
What you need to do is Isolate that part of the image and NOT apply the keying.

It is easier in AE but you can do it in FCP. Double or triple up your video track. Mask out the section of yellow.

V1 – bottom half of person masked- apply keying
V2 – middle belt with yellow section masked – NO KEY
V3 – top half odf person masked apply keying
