    Hi to all cowsters!

Does anybody know about the possible use of a yamaha 01V as a mixer-patch-controller for FCP? I was looking at 01X but the salesperson pointed out this higher model and… you know… I loved it!

It’s USB (no firewire conflicts) Has plenty of room to grow (upcoming decks…) and If I can do all the mixing and patching PLUS control the FCP or Soundtrack pro interface then I’m sold but would like to hear from the experts first

https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/resources/devicelist.php lists what’s been tested by Apple to work… might want to take a look there… the Yamaha isn’t listed. If you bought one, I’d certianly want the opportunity to return it if it didn’t… maybe someone here knows for sure? Be careful though.

I am also keen to know if this will work, although i have the extra ambition of using the MIDI on my MBOX2 to connect it to my mac as the O1V mixer I have is old enough to not have a USB/FW Port. This is going off topic slightly I suppose but keen to hear any advice on 01V compatibility with FCP if anyone has any experience with this.
