hi again. I’m working on this short video (PAL) and since I’ve shot in HDV 25f it’s in a wide format. When I’m bringing images into the frame from scanned Tiffs they are getting squashed (horizontally).

    How can I correct this?!

I was hoping this editing would be quick and easy as it’s not stuff I haven’t done before but obviously shooting in HDV for the first time has thrown a spanner in the works!

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hi there! thanks. I’ve managed to sort this out. It was a case of changing one of the variable in the motion tab to 3.33 for some reason.

    Cheers!

Need a little more info. Check the item properties of the still clips in the Browser. What are the dimensions (typical) and what is the pixel aspect ratio set to?

Also try this: On a clip in the Timeline, control-click and select Remove Attributes. Uncheck Distort if it’s checked.

Yep, that’s the vicinity I was heading for.
    Cheers!
