Hey guys, I’m just at the end of my rope with this whole jittery/shaky video on Adobe Encore. Do you have any answers? I sure would appreciate the help. I’ve tried everything.

I’m running Avid Xpress Pro—-> Sorenson Squeeze (quicktime reference)—-> ENCORE—–> my burned DVD-R.

And it plays jittery/Shaky and inconsistent.

I’ve tried so many variations and I still have no idea why it won’t work. It makes no sense and this is not what I paid for.

I thank you in advance for listening my friend. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for your expertise,

    M.J.

Well, I use Procoder, so I’m not sure if this will help, but…

I always had trouble with Quicktime reference files, so I started exporting full Quicktime files for import into Procoder. Fixed all my problems, even though the file are of course much bigger.

Also, with Quicktime reference, procoder never detected the correct field order or aspect ratio. Check that Sorenson is detecting the correct values, or that you are choosing the correct values for your source. Wrong field order might be giving you the jittery video.

    Good luck!

I’ve always had great luck with the QuickTime reference files. Use TMPGEnc to encode them, then import the resulting .m2v file into Encore along with the .aif file that came with the QuickTime reference, and Bob’s your uncle.
