Currently trying to make a powder explosion (a jar of spice and a jar of sugar). I’ve got most of it done but hitting walls with the number of particles I can actually use and render.
I’m just wondering if someone could check my workflow and tell me if I’m doing things right or if there are some different techniques to get more particles…
Currently, I use a hex sporn which is then advected by explosia, looks great, happy with that. But, if I reduce the particle size to increase the number of particles (from 300,000 to 1.2m) I don’t seem to be able to render it (details below) or play it even when cached.
Am I doing it wrong trying to sporn all the particles at once? I have a fairly good machine and I see lots of people making massive amounts of particles and I feel like I’m missing something!
