XML from FCP-7 to premiere – original P2 media vs capture scratch files
Anybody dealt with this yet?
I have a legacy FCP7 timeline that I have exported to XML and successfully imported into PP 2015. The issue is the media. I’ve got the original P2 media files from my archives, but not the the capture scratch movies that FCP made during ingest. I forgot that was one of the painful processes in FCP.
Anybody know how to work around that without going thru the process of having to re-capture (and transcode – ugh!) the media in FCP?
Production is fun – but lets not forget: Nobody ever died on the video table!

Does the capture scratch timecode in the XML line up with the MXF timecode?
