XL H1 & live field capture through FCP 6.0.4 (Firewire)
I’ve tried and tried and I cannot get this camera and final cut to communicate with each other via firewire, to do a live on field capture, direct to disc.
Final Cut refuses to communicate with the camera when I try to log and capture, I have tried numerous capture settings and I just can’t get it to work.
If anybody knows if this is possible then please let me know how as I’m at hair pulling stage.

For what it’s worth, you can do what you are attempting using Adobe OnLocation.
We recently used it for a project, and it worked great.

I’ve been looking at OnLocation and I am impressed with what I’ve seen, but budget wise it’s not a solution right now, but thanks for the tip.
