    Am I doing something wrong? Test footage I shot with the XL-H1 in the 30F mode plays back very stuttery… even very slow panning shots.

    I captured the footage into FCP and then let FCP match the sequence settings to the clip. When playing back using the desktop as my HD monitor the 30F footage looks stuttery.

    Normally, I shoot in 1080i30 and it looks great. I’ve heard great things about progressive, but the the stutter in the picture makes it totally unacceptable.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi Bob,

    You’d probably get a faster response if you asked this question in the FCP forum. There are a lot of people shooting progressive/frame mode these days and not seeing the problems you’re describing.
