I have a PDW U1 which is pretty cool. With the limited supply of XDCAM discs, I’m wanting to give clients a hard drive with the material on it. If I make a clone, it takes longer than real time. Can’t I just slide the Clips or Subclips or both over to the drive and be assured the client has everything they need for the edit?

I would imagine that you could copy the entire disk into a folder on the hard drive and you’ll have everything you need. Don’t try and copy files out of the folder structure, just give them the entire directory tree starting from the root. Try it and see.
