Hi Everyone, Please help me. I have a project on XDCam footage from an EX3, which I edited on Premiere CS5. It’s being graded in Avid Media Composer 4.0.2 in a few days time. Premiere theoretically spits out an AAF that Media Composer can read, but tests aren’t going well. It’s opening the AAF fine, and I can see the timeline in tact. It brings in the files, but they’re offline. If I manually bring in the files, they are all there and play. However, the timeline still reads as offline.

I’ve tried relinking them numerous times but Avid won’t see it. I’m presuming it’s something to do with how Avid handles media versus Premiere and there seems to be some inconsistency as regards the .mp4 being at the name of the files. Anyone have any ideas how to get the avid to recognise my clips, or link the timeline to the manually imported clips?

Thanks so much, I’m really desperate.

I got this to work on V5.03

I opened the XDCam card via Media Import. I cut 5 clips into a timeline. Then I exported an AAF.
In MC, I created a project, imported the AMA. Clips + sequence came in offline.
I used AMA to mount the card.
Last, I told relink to link to AMA based on name.

You might want to download and test v5.

    Best,
