Seems like each day I’m seeing more and more random issue.

I have to view and do simple cuts on XDCAM HD422 footage and I don’t want nor can do any transcoding. Once times when I bring in mxf files audio sections can totally drop out, maybe 15-60 and then if comes back. The waveform shows flat and if exported the audio is gone. Like I say this is random and the same file will do the same thing in the same place if I open the file in Prelude.

The newest problem is files that I have used Episode to convert movies to XDCAM HD422 .movs come into PP at weird frame rates. Once 7fps, then other files at 11.27fps. Bring the same files into FCP7 and all is fine.

Just wondering if others are seeing anything like this.

I’m having serious issues with CS6.01 making Premiere Pro unusable.
I have hundreds of clips shot on a PMW EX1 on my RAID I need to use and CAN NOT until Adobe fixes this random glitching issue. They worked well in PP CS5.5.2 but a frame tears randomly in PP CS6.01 and are totally unusable. They play perfectly in the QuickTime player. Does Adobe understand this is a bug? Is anyone listening?

No you are not the only one with this problem! I was hoping that the last update would solve what appeared to be a random glitch with XDCAM HD & IMX Pal audio. Unfortunately Im experiencing all the same issues you report: audio drops out on playback or vanishes on export. The annoying part is that it appears completely arbitrary; some files play fine, others do not. My work around so far: export the finished audio edit to 5.5 using FCP XML, mix down and reimport. Hardly elegant or efficient, but at least a way to stop me banging my head against the wall.

Another alternative I’ve tried is to use 5.5 to rip the audio from the MXF files. Again, not ideal!

This appears to be a genuine bug, comparable with the famous ballooning .pr files in the first release of v5. That one cost me 2 days and a serious case of high blood pressure. Adobe are you listening…?

i just started using premiere after years with final cut and i’m totally stumped as to why there is no waveform showing on much of my material, is it because it was shot with XDCam s?
