xdcam log/tranfer into fcp problems. please help asap
A shooter loaded the Bpav folders onto my hard drive. How do I take the info from these folders and turn it into the physical footage in my FCP. Essentially, what I’m asking is how to I log and transfer with the Song XDCAM HD footage?
Please help ASAP. I’m at work, and need this right now.

Put the BPVA folder inside another folder. Open the SONY Transfer Tool and point to this folder, or open the transfer Tool from inside Fc; Import SONY XDCAM. Fetch, select and import.

You need a small program called ‘XDCam Transfer’. Free software from Sony. This will look for all BPAV folders and convert them into files ready for FCP. Could tell you more – but you’re in a hurry and the software is fairly easy to use – and your best use of time right now is to download and get on with it!

Is the sony transfer tool something I have to download separately from a sony website, or is it naturally contained within my FCP?
