    Hi,
I just started edit assisting on a series which is using XDCAM HD and Go Pro. The main footage is XDCAM HD.

I’ve not really used either before and was wondering what was the best way to convert the go pro stuff and which sequence settings they should work in?

They don’t really know and are leaving it to me to determine.

I know that they do want to work natively though…

Also, can someone recommend good naming conventions for the media?

    Cheers

    Hi Sahra,
I think that the best way is that you transcode (Prores) the Go Pro footage keeping all the original setting (Size, time-base). Then, depending of your XDCAM footage time-base, you may need to conform it with CinemaTools.
You can put together Prores and XDCAM footage in the same sequence without problem. Set the sequence codec Prores and render in “High Precision”.
