    XDCam HD Codec and FCP5

    I have a project in which a client has sent me Quicktime footage using the XDCam HD codec. I am unable to open this natively in FCP5.1.4 but is there an easy workaround for this problem? Other than an upgrade to FCP6?

    the Quicktime codecs for XDCAM HD were added with FCP 5.1.2 so you should already be able to open and use these files …. or are these not quicktime files but just the raw MXF files direct from the camera ?

    Hi

    I can’t apply any effect on an wdcam footage on fcp 6.
    Can’t find the reason why.
    Ant help?
