XDCAM HD 50Mbits not linking to AMA Volume
Hey All,
Having some issues with footage shot with the C300.
Linking to AMA volume half the card appears, the codecs that show up are-
CANON XF MPEG-2 422 50Mbits
MPEG2-4:2:2P@HL (HD720p)The clips that won’t show up, when I link to AMA Files they come in as
XDCAM HD 50MbitsWhy won’t is let me link to volume with these?
I think I have the correct plugin.
xpmw-2-0-3-8-9lThe folder structure of the card seems to be intact.
My system is Windows 7 64bit

Make sure you download ALL the Canon plug-ins and not just the one you think you need (300 and 305). I have heard of this fixing some issues.
Also what frame rate?

the footage is 23.98, will try downloading the other plugins and let you know what happens. thanks for the response. -B

I went to the pages for XF105, XF300, XF305 and the plugins are the same on every page, same as the one I have.
Any other ideas?

Not just those…every AMA plugin. The ones for AVCHD, P2…etc. I’m not sure what other one helps, but when I was in this situation, only loading all of them seemed to make this work.

Have you tried manually selecting the correct AMA plugin to use in the link dialog as opposed to leaving it at the default setting of auto?
It may be guessing wrong when set to auto on some clips for whatever reason.

Good point. I have found “auto” to really only work on files that can be opened via QuickTime. Even unique files like .r3d have had trouble with “auto”.
