Hi all – just trying to get squeeze to read some XDCAM footage. I assume I just need to install the codec? Does anyone know where I can get it?

we are now editing XD on macs, then (hopefully)encoding the final .mov in squeeze on a PC.

    thanks for the help –

I could be wrong, but I don’t think that XDCAM is supported on Windows without additional hardware being installed, such as Matrox Axio kit.

Final Cut Pro supports it through Quicktime.

    It’s a London thing.

Don’t know about Squeeze, but I am pretty sure Rhozet Carbon encoder supports XDCAM on the PC. I also believe ffmpeg and VirtualDub can support XDCAM files with the proper support libs.
