    XDCAM EX 1080i50 codec problem when working on FCP

    Hello,

    I am having footage that i am required to edit on Final cut pro , and this footage is in XDCAM EX 1080i50 codec. When i started to work on final cut pro, the videos started to flicker and turn green and red sometimes and then final cut quits and i start to reopen it.

    What can i do to solve this problem it started to annoy me

    Try opening your sequence settings and changing the “Compressor” to ProRes422. No need for HQ, ProRes422 is what you want.
