Hi guys. I need to imitate the effect of the last part of x-men the last stand. Where Wolverine is dissolving as he is nearing Jean Grey… any ideas??

You could always try Particular and set a layer, with the person you want to dissolve, as an emitter and change the direction of the particles. Then animate the mask and it should make the person dissolve. Never tried it, but now I kinda want to haha.

you may be able to adapt this tutorial on text that blows away like sand. it uses the standard ae effect, particle playground.
