write to the video-has unexpected blak during out put
hello,
We are having some difficulty here. we try to out put 48 mins show to the HD tape. Its all beautifully rendered and every setting has been right. all tapes are Converted Both SD and HD to ProRes 422(1920X1080) When we tried to write to tape (HDDV) , the cut has a sudden black flame in the middle of the show…. nothing that we can recognize on timeline.. only when we tried to write to the tape. We use black magic card and quad on leopard/final cut studio. Have anyone had similar problems? It may be the issue of slow external drives? we use FW800.

I don’t know about the data rate, but I and others have seen an issue with Blackmagic cards & ProRes

Hmmm,
I thought Black Magic card is now fully compatible with ProRes 422….
Having unexpected black is recognized both on write to tape windows on FCP, on tape and external HD monitor as well….. I am not so sure this sis a black magic cards issue here…Yasuyoshi Kominato
