Write On effect with fonts
Posted by Steve Kirkham on November 26, 2009 at 9:48 amHi All
Can anyone point me to a tutorial that shows how to use Motions Paint Write on Effect to write text on to the screen.
I found one that showed how to use my own handwriting to do but I really want to be able to use an actual font to do the effect
Hope that makes sense
Steve

November 27, 2009 at 10:22 pmThe basic process is:
1) Use the text tool to write your word or phrase
2) Use the paint tool to cover the letters with paint strokes
3) Add a Write-On behavior to animate the paint stroke(s)
4) Apply an image mask to text (or group containing the text) and use the paint stroke (or group of paint strokes) as the source for the image mask.—

Nice to see you at Cow. This might just be your new home.
By the way here is my tutorial where you can see how to animate paint stroke. Not the best but will get you going.
