Wow, 10 hours to render 5 minute clip
It took me 4 days to complete my latest (and probably last on THIS PC) comedy video. Normally it’s start to finish in about 8 hours.
I purposely made it “lighter” because I’d noticed my computer had been bogging down a bit lately but this was ridiculous. I did all the usual streamlining, sizing my backgrounds to 1920×1080, saving as TIFF’s, proxying my green screen stuff, only 3 scenes and very light “movie intro” graphics compared to my last 4 videos, but PPro just dragged to where I was punching my desk in anger, and this last straw, 10 hours to encode, and I encoded to DNxHD, not h264.
Not asking for advice. I know what to do. I need a more powerful computer. Vent over.
I’ll post a link to it when it’s done uploading to youtube so if you’re interested you can see how lightweight it is. Oh, yeah, almost forgot. It also “failed” after 7 hours of encoding TWICE!!!
