Would the 2019 i9 iMac and Premiere benefit from 128GB RAM
Just purchased a 27-inch i9 iMac as a “travel NLE” for nearby city clients. I only bought the base 8GB memory option, and plan to upgrade to either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB aftermarket. Just wondering if Premiere can take use of the extended memory, specially when working with 4K 50P XAVC footage with LUT’s and effects applied. I can’t really find a definitive answer on the web, hoping some creatives cows here might not. Is 128GB overkill?

XAVC? that will be cpu bottleneck. I wouldn’t buy anything that much unless I perused pugetsystems’s detailed breakdown of what footage needs what RAM. in what program.
