Would someone explain step by step how to setup an external monitor?
i.e. how to setup an NTSC monitor to make sure color, contrast and brightness is correct/fit for TV? Is there a device or color bar or something that can be done? Thanks in advance.

You can purchase professional televisions that cost around $500 for a 13″. That would probably be the best solution. Other than that, color bars can be used to set up your screen. There are various step-by-step guides on the net that go over calibration techniques. Search for “calibrating a tv with color bars” and choose the method you are most comfortable with.

The guys at Synthetic Aperture wrote a white paper on it.
