would like to add realistic waterfall to existing image
I recently visited a well known grist mill/ waterfall in the US, but sadly the main waterfall was almost just a dribble and not at all like I wished it would be. It’s been awfully dry in the NE US, so I really wasn’t surprised. Anyway, while I see plenty of tutorials on adding waterfalls using brushes, I don’t want to go this way because I might sell the image at some point. Is there any way I can create and add a realistic looking waterfall using Photoshop techniques? I’m using the latest version. BTW, I want to go from something like this which, by the way, is nearly identical to the image I have:
to something like this:

Unfortunately, I cannot return to the area anytime again soon and hope to catch it after a big rain. My image is just like the first one with the left side fine but the right weak so I just need to supplement/ change the right side.
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions!
