  • Worth reloading Win 7 64 bit to get more oomph?

So, thanks to the help here, I now have a shiny new homebuilt AMD Phenom x64 BE, 4Gb RAM etc.

But I downloaded and installed the wrong version, so I’ve been running in 32 bit all this time!

Problem is, it only sees 3.2Gb of my 4Gb of memory.

I’ve already installed and registered all the Vegas Platinum apps/features. So, three questions:
If I delete the 32 bit version and load the 64 bit version:
1: Is that extra 750Mb RAM going to make things better?
2: Is the 64 bittyness going to make Vegas quicker?
3: Is there going to be a problem re-registering so soon?

    Thanks!

Given that Windows 7 official release is due in October, and you have to re-install from the RC that you are using now anyway, you might want to wait until the official release to go 64-bit. You won’t see any speed improvement because Movie Studio is 32-bit. All you will be getting is the full use of your 4GB of memory.
