What is the best way to set up a dual monitor workspace for PPro? I have 2 Dell U2311H’s with an NVIDIA Quadro 4000 and a Matrox MXO2 LE. Coming from an Avid environment, I really enjoy having my real estate and spreading things out over 2 monitors. Is it as simple as maximizing the application over the 2 monitors, undocking and placing panels where I want them and saving the workspace? Thanks!

The the menus above, along side FILE, EDIT, PROJECT,,… look for WINDOW -> WORKSPACE ->
you can setup AUDIO layout, Color correction, editing, etc…

And more importantly, you can save the layouts so you can jump from one layout to the next.

    Basically you have two options
1 Monitor for Timelines + 1 Monitor for FullScreen Preview
    or
2 Monitor for TImelines + External I/O HDMI out to preview monitor.

there are more options available, if you have 3 monitors

The options are endless…and as Dexter says, you just save the workspace…get sick of it? Alter it and re-save it.

What workspace you want is completely up to you. All the default workspaces are single monitor. Figure out what makes sense to you and keep revising to your heart’s content. I use four displays and I keep tweaking and changing…haven’t found the perfect one yet…but I’m closing in…

    Hey Tim,

4 monitors?! That is a killer! What is the video card you are using for the GUI?

I have two Quadro cards. A 4800 and an old 560.

My system interface is behind me in the photo in my cow bio.
