I created a lamp in photoshop and used BLENDING OPTIONS to create a light effect, saved it to compuserve(cause I want no background with that lamp )but when I add it to vegas, those blending options effects weren’t there so I guess I should have saved it to another format but which one cause I want that lamp with no background, I mean with a transparent background?
If I save it to jpg, there’ll be a black background and when I add it to vegas, that black background will cober all other pictures I have there.
I hope I made myself clear enough with my english.
    Thanks 😉

Vegas will successfully import PSD layers. I work in Corel and I can add adjustment Layers, but I need to save each Layer. I don’t get the adjustments.

    Grazie

I can adjust layers in Corel using Adjustment Layers. But those Adjustment Layers don’t import into Vegas, only the results of using the Adjusment Layers in Corel.

Stick to PNG (my preference) or any other format that supports an alpha channel.

JPG doesn’t alpha channel (transparency). File formats that support transparency include GIF, PNG and TIFF.

You can add Photoshop files (PSD) to Vegas time line.

If you add Photoshop files using right click if you need to add Photoshop layers as Vegas tracks.

For an alpha channel to work, you’ll need to make a mask in photoshop, then save that mask in the channels palette by duplicating it. Then save your image as a Targa and check off “Alpha Channels” in the save dialog box.

Why would I do all that stuff?
I mean I just wanted to save any picture with a transparent background,
Once I discovered jpg can’t save transparecy, I save it as PNG and it worked.
Before that, I tried to save it as GIF but it didn’t save those blending options effects with my pic.
I just didn’t know to what format I should save a pic with transparent background and bllnding options effects.
