  working with 30P M2t files

  When working with M2t files that are 30P and mixed with NTSC SD in the same Vegas project should I change the project to interlaced (lower or upper field) before rendering the project?

  If I use a 30P project setting and create an MPEG2 the MPEG2 plays well but looses sharpness when played on a DVD player. I have not tested to see if the DVD Player is the issue but my goal is to create an MPEG 2 that could be played on a variety of players not just newer progressive scan ones.

  Any and all enlightenment is appreciated.
