  • Working HD in After Effects 7 – what HD settings do i need?

    Hi,

I’m new to HD. We just got the Panasonic AG-HVX200K P2/DVCPRO HD Camera.

Now we had upgraded from Panasonic DV cameras.

Now I do all the effects with Adobe After Effects 7.0.

Here was my question. We are shooting 24p 16×9 HD format. What setting do I set up in After Effects. I see presets, and I chose the preset that matched what we will be filming in. However, the comp is not rectangle or widescreen but still square. ?!?! call me noob. But I’m confused, should’t I have a widescreen, horizontal comp. that matches? and not the square for normal TV?

    Any help much appreciated, thanks!

I think I just found the answer in another post. The key is the Toggle Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction button at the bottom of the comp.

    🙂
