My client has asked for a job to be delivered in 4k

I’ve never worked with 4k so pardon the obvious questions.
I looked in the after effects options and saw several 4k formats
Could 4k mean different things depending on how they use the video?

Do I need to ask for more specific specs?

    Thanks

UHD (3840×2160) is probably the most common 4K format, but there are a number of other 4K formats for digital cinema.

You should definitely confirm delivery specs; there are a number of possible frame rates, containers, codecs, audio layouts, etc.
