    Hi,

I’m doing an offline edit in FCP and will need to do some after effects. I was wondering what the best method for this would be. If possible, I would like to keep my file sizes small between projects to keep render times as quick as possible.

Can I somehow bring an XML film from FCP to AE, and then back to FCP to put the project online again?

Keep in mind I have never worked with XML files, so if this is the solution, please give me easy to follow instructions.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Olaf

With automatic duck you can get your timeline to AE, but not back. From AE you would render out a qt movie and place in your fcp timeline.

    You want pro import AE.
