Workflow? DVCProHD from FCP 6 into DVDSP4 for SD DVD
What’s a fast and bulletproof method to export Some DVCProHD from FCP 6.6.0 to make a standard def DVD in DVDSP4?
I want to end up with a letterboxed SD DVD, and am wondering among many things whether to pre-shrink the DVCProHD in the FCP timeline, have Compressor handle it, or have DVDSp4 handle it.

Search the DVDSP and this forum, there are hundreds of post about this.
Export Self-contained, Current settings, into compressor DVD preset making sure you keep it at 16:9.

*Which compressor DVD preset? For a 5-minute piece that was DVCPro HD,1080, 24p.
It has to play correctly on cheap consumer DVD players. -
Once again this has been posted a ton of times.
For shorts always use CBR encoding, so start with whatever you want, change encoding mode to CBR, Set average to no more than 7.5Mbps (audio also needs to be encoded as ac3 @ .192Mbps for stereo). In the frames tab, Turn on Frames Set the Resize Filter to Best.
