    Hello!

I`m going to make an 30 minute long video with grapics that dont cover the whole picture so I can put video in the background. The grapics is on for the whole 30min.

I want to have an dvd OR a windows media file with good quality as an result.

I have made the grapics in photoshop and edeting them in After effects. At this point I`m prette pleased. I have now made an 30 minutes long comp with ONLY grapics that has some motion on it. Behind the grapics is no video for now.

    How is this now done:

1.I just wanna have the grapics and no video to it, but i need music.

2.I wanna have video in the background and music.

I don`t quite get the workflow between AAE and Premiere Pro.
What codec should i use to export it with when i just want the grafics so that i can get an WMP or to DVD? What codec do I want to use if I have imported an video file that has been put in the background? Is it best to export the grapics as an quicktime file with an anlpha channel to premiere and do the rest there? Or is it best to complete the whole ting in AAE by importing an edeting avi file from Premiere and put the grapics on there?

This is a lot of questions. If anybody have any expirience please tell me.

    Thanx

    Tommy

I think it would be best to finish the project in Premiere, because it’s easier to preview stuff, instead of always having to do a ram-preview.
A true video editing program is much easier especially for such long and relatively simple compositing.

If the graphics-layer is in effect a series of still, with very little animation happening for long times, i would render out a Quicktime animation codec, with quality 95-100%, but keyframes set pretty high.
Import that in premiere on overlay it, do the sound editing there. (don’t work in premiere so I can’t help you with those steps)
